T.S.O.L. or True Sounds Of Liberty are an American punk band formed in 1978 in Long Beach, California.
Starting out as a politically-tinged punk band, the band moved towards horror themes and are considered by some as an influence on the early deathrock scene. The original lineup stayed together through 1983, recording 2 EPs and 2 LPs. Amid personal turmoil, Grisham, Barnes and Kuehn all left the band in 1983 and were replaced by Mitch Dean and Joe Wood. This lineup continued to record and release music throughout the 80s, shifting towards hard rock.

Beefeater were a hardcore punk band from Washington D.C. and mixed punk with funk and jazz. Tomas Squip's lyrics dealt explicitly with politics and spirituality.
The band existed from the summer 1984 until late 1986.
