Government Issue - Complete History Volume One & Complete History Volume Two, Flex Your Head & Four Old 7"s On A 12"

Government Issue's "Complete History Volume One" is a compilation double album, released in 2000 on Dr. Strange Records with a companion album, "Complete History Volume Two", released in 2001.

Volume One intentionally omits the 1981 Legless Bull EP and the track "Lie, Cheat, And Steal" released on the 1982 "Flex Your Head" compilation, as both of these releases are still in print through Dischord Records.

While the back cover of "Flex Your Head" has remained almost the same, its front cover has changed throughout the years.
The album was released with four different front covers:
Violin (January 1982 first release, 4000 pressed)
Wheat Field (1982 release, 3000 pressed)
XXX, a black and white version of the flag of Washington, D.C. with the stars replaced by Xs (1983 release, 2000 pressed)
Blurry photo (1985 release).

In 2010 a variation in red and white of the D.C. flag cover from 1983, came in 2010 on a remastered LP release.
