SS Decontrol - The Kids Will Have Their Say, Get It Away & Power


SSD (Society System Decontrol) were a hardcore punk band from Boston, formed in 1981. They released two records as SS Decontrol and then formally changed their name to SSD. As SSD they released two more records with a heavy metal influenced sound, "How We Rock" (1984) and "Break It Up" (1985). The band broke up 1985.

Red Alert are a British Oi! band, formed in Sunderland in May 1979 and debuted in the summer of 1979, at a carnival in Sunderland, performing mostly Clash and UK Subs covers.
The band broke up in 1985 disillusioned and weary, re-formed four years later and continued touring and occasionally recording.

English Dogs - Invasion Of The Porky Men & The Metal Years


English Dogs are a British punk band, formed in October 1981 in Grantham and produced two demos during 1982, "Show No Mercy" and "Free To Kill".
In 1983 they signed to Clay Records and released a six-track EP in July 1983, "Mad Punx And English Dogs". English Dogs' first full-length album, "Invasion Of The Porky Men", was released a year later.
The change towards metal saw them leave Clay records to sign with Rot Records and release the decidedly metal tinged "To The Ends Of The Earth" EP in September 1984. The metal leanings increased with "Forward Into Battle", culminating with the "Metalmorphosis" 12-inch and "Where Legend Began" album in 1986.
Due to personnel changes the band split up in 1986.
The band re-formed several times since 1993.

The Jam were a British punk band during the 1970s and early 1980s, which formed in 1972 at Sheerwater Secondary School in Woking, in the county of Surrey.
The band released 18 consecutive Top 40 singles in the United Kingdom, from their debut in 1977 to their break-up in December 1982, including four number one hits.
They released one live album and six studio albums, the last of which, The Gift, hit number one on the UK Albums Chart.

The Flys - Waikiki Beach Refugees & Own


The Flys were a British punk band that formed in 1976 in Coventry, England.
Their career began by regularly opening for Buzzcocks. In late 1977, with Lyn Dobson on saxophone, they released the 7" EP "Bunch Of Fives" on Zama Records. The EP caught the attention of EMI Records and they were signed. Eary 1979 Pete King left the band and was replaced on drums by Graham Deakin.
In 1980 they changed labels to Parlophone Records. In the wake of the departure of Neil O'Connor, who joined his sister Hazel's band, the Flys disbanded in 1980.

"Waikiki Beach Refugees" is the debut album by The Flys, released in 1978 on EMI. The album was reissued in 2001 with eight bonus tracks on Captain Oi!.
