Mau Maus - Live At The Marples & The Punk Singles Collection


Mau Maus were a British punk band formed in 1979 in Sheffield.
In 1984 they also found themselves without a record label, not to be out done the band went into the studio and recorded the 7" "Tear Down The Walls" and an album called "Fear No Evil", released in 1985.
This was a more melodic poppy punk sound, but still had their trade mark harsh vocals by Chris Taylor.
The band split up in late 1985 after Chris Taylor left the band. He was stuggling with the new direction of the band.

"Live At The Marples" is a live album by Mau Maus, released in 1983 on Pax Records.
The album is an official bootleg documenting the Marples gig on 2 September 1983 in Sheffield and comes with a booklet with band history, interview, photo and lyrics (fax sheet).

N.V. Le Anderen were a punk band from Wormer, The Netherlands, formed in 1981.
The band split up in 1986. Tjakko (drums) and Rob (bass) later changed the band's name to N.V. Boys and performed until 1991 with Peter Verdam on vocals and Ad Jongewaard on guitar.

Riot were an Oi! punk band from Zaandam, The Netherlands, formed in 1980 and split up in 1983 after Fred Dijkstra quits.
In the beginning the band played experimental and heavily influenced by The Ex and later changed their style to Oi.
