Electro Hippies - The Only Good Punk & Play Fast Or Die
Electro Hippies were a British trash/hardcore punk band, formed in 1985 in St Helens/Wigan.
Though they were short-lived and underground through their career, their music influenced many future crust, hardcore punk and grindcore bands. The band relied heavily on low bass end sounds to create their low-fi, primitively produced music. They also incorporated elements of heavy metal. The band strongly embraced the D.I.Y. ethic which was very common among many early hardcore punk bands. The band's lyrics spoke heavily about animal rights and vegetarianism.
Electro Hippies split up in 1989, playing one last gig at Planet X in Liverpool and releasing the show as their final album.

Napalm Death - Scum, From Enslavement To Obliteration & The Complete Radio One Sessions
Napalm Death are a trash/hardcore punk band, formed in 1981 in Meriden near Coventry, West Midlands in the United Kingdom.
The band were initially inspired by the anarcho punk movement and associated bands such as Crass. After various personnel changes, demo recordings and a period of dormancy, they had returned to activity in 1985 and the line-up's sound reflected an increasing interest in heavy metal while remaining rooted in anarcho punk.
The band are credited as pioneers grindcore by incorporating elements of crust punk and death metal, using a noise-filled sound that uses distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdrive bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, vocals that consist of incomprehensible growls or high-pitched shrieks, extremely short songs and sociopolitical lyrics.
Napalm Death have released sixteen studio albums.
Band members:
Lee Robert Dorrian - vocals
Justin Karl Michael Broadrick - guitar
William Geoffrey Steer - guitar
Shane Thomas Embury - bass (From Enslavement To Obliteration)

Jim Whiteley - bass (tracks 13 to 28 Scum)
Michael John Harris - drums.

The album was reissued as a dual disc (CD & DVD) in 2006 on Earache as the 20th Anniversary Edition. The DVD video side The Scum Story contains a 45 minute documentary film.
