Konstepaasje - Sjiet Egaal & Kwekkerdekwek, Lek Mien Tesj
Konstepaasje are a punk band from Geleen and surroundings, The Netherlands. The band has been making punk since 1996.
Konstepaasje was created by Jo (guitar) and Zef (bass) during the Dynamo Open Air festival. Robert (drum) joined the band, making Konstepaasje a reality.
After a few performances it turned out that Konstepaasje would be better off with a "loose" singer and this became Huub in April 1997. With this new line-up, Konstepaasje started working again, reworked the songs and at the end of 1997 they recorded their first demo "Sjtik!", which was released in early 1998. Konstepaasje appeared with two songs ("Sjovie" and "Sjtik De Murder") on the compilation "Greetings From Holland" by the German punk label Vitamine Pills.
After the summer of 1999, Konstepaasje was joined by René (guitar), resulting in the CD "Sjiet Egaal", which was released in December 2000.
Konstepaasje released a live CD (May 2001) entitled "Sjtront Oppe Buun", which was recorded during their performance in Nieuwdorp (Stein). René decided to leave Konstepaasje in January 2002 and Konstepaasje continued with the old "Sjtik!" line-up.
Konstepaasje recorded their second CD in October/November 2002 and released this CD (“Kwekkerdekwek, Lek Mien Tesj”) in December 2002. This CD contains, among other things, a song (D.V.M.) written for De Dierenbescherming in connection with their “Livestock Transport” campaign. In the early years, Konstepaasje made an aggressive mixture of metal with punk influences, but in 2002 the punk-metal ratio has been reversed, which means you see a nice punk band with metal influences.
Konstepaasje's lyrics are about Konstepaasje's annoyances and life. Konstepaasje was created around the idea of making music with great pleasure and Konstepaasje still follows this idea...
