Gang Of Four were a British rock band from Leeds, formed in 1976.
The band play a stripped-down mix of punk, funk, dub and pop, with a lyrical emphasis on the social and political ills of society.
Dave Allen left shortly after "Solid Gold" was released and was replaced by Sara Lee. After the third album Hugo Burnham also left and was replaced by programmed drums.
In 1983 the band broke up.
