Blondie - Blondie, Plastic Letters, Parallel Lines & Blondie At The BBC
Blondie were founded in New York in October 1974. The band was a pioneer in the early American new wave and punk scenes of the mid-late 1970s.
Its first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States, until the release of "Parallel Lines" in 1978.
"Parallel Lines" finally broke the band into the American market on the strength of the worldwide hit single "Heart Of Glass", a disco-infused track. It became the band's most successful album with pop rock songs, selling 20 million copies worldwide.
Three more albums were released:
Eat To The Beat (1979)
Autoamerican (1980)
The Hunter (1982).
Blondie broke up in November 1982.

Debbie Harry – vocals
Chris Stein – guitar

Gary Valentine – bass (1975–1977)
