Television - Marquee Moon & Adventure



Television are an American rock band formed in 1973 in New York City. The band was founded by Tom Verlaine, Richard Lloyd, Billy Ficca and Richard Hell. Richard Hell left in 1975 and founded Heartbreakers with former New York Dolls Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan, later forming Richard Hell And The Voidoids.
The band is considered influential in the development of punk and alternative music and was an early fixture of CBGB and the 1970s New York rock scene. The band split up in July 1978.
Television reformed in 1992, released a self-titled third album and have performed live sporadically thereafter.

Richard Lloyd – guitar, vocals
Fred Smith – bass, vocals
Billy Ficca – drums.


"Marquee Moon" is the debut studio album by Television, released in 1977 on Elektra. The album was reissued in 2003 with five bonus tracks on Rhino Records, Elektra and Warner Strategic Marketing.
Marquee Moon, shortened on the original LP, was restored to its complete length of 10:40 on the 2003 remastered CD.
