Slaughter And The Dogs - Do It Dog Style, Rabid Dogs & The Punk Singles Collection


Slaughter And The Dogs are a British punk band formed in 1975 in Wythenshawe, Manchester.
Their debut single, "Cranked Up Really High", was released in June 1977 on Rabid Records. The band signed with Decca Records in 1977 and released three singles and one album.
Barrett left the band in March 1979 after the release of the EP "It's Alright" on TJM Records and Slaughter And The Dogs split up.
Slaughter And The Dogs reformed several times since 1979.

"Do It Dog Style" was the debut studio album by Slaughter And The Dogs, released in May 1978 on Decca Records. The album was reissued in 2000 on Captain Oi! with two bonus tracks.

"Live Slaughter Rabid Dogs" is a live album by Slaughter And The Dogs, released in December 1978 on Rabid Records. The album was reissued in 1989 on Receiver Records Limited as "Rabid Dogs".
The album was recorded live, 9 July 1977 at The Elizabethan Rooms, Belle Vue, Manchester.
The 1978 release had a white stickered sleeve with stamped dog logo; no tracklist was given on the cover nor on the labels. Some copies came with no dog stamp and stickers can be at different angles. The tracklist is taken from the 1989 LP re-release.
